Audiograms
An audiogram is a test given by an audiologist, and is shown by a graph that contains the frequency and loudness. The frequency is plotted on the horizontal axis and the loudness is plotted on the vertical axis. The points are plotted with a circle for the right ear, which is typically red, and an x for the left ear, which is typically blue. These points are connected and the results may be read and translated into a diagnosis by the audiologist. Bone conduction marks may also be on the same graph, designated by < and > marks. Bone conduction is done to determine more precisely where the loss occurs.
